Meets on the third Monday of the month, 6:30 PM

Members: Lottie Almonte, Hayden Brockett, Audrey Isaacs, K Karpen, John Schochat, Ethel Sheffer and Sofia Valla. Public Member: Karen Tillson.

 

The Parks and Environment Committee addresses community needs and resources related to public open space, recreation, and sustainability. The committee works closely with the Department of Parks and Recreation to review and comment on park designs, concession applications, and use patterns. The committee also mediates conflicts between groups that share public resources.

River Run Playground Redesign

Dear Upper West Side Community Members,

 

We regret to inform you that the Parks Department will not be returning to CB7 this month to discuss any potential revisions to the River Run Playground renovation at our committee’s meeting in 10/20. 

 

Please note that this is simply a postponement, and not a cancellation of their visit.

 

We thank you for your patience and request that you continue to send any feedback, comments, or ideas to the NYC Parks Department (MhBoroCapital@park.nyc.gov) with our office (MN07@cb.nyc.gov) and Council Member Gale Brewer's Office (district6@council.nyc.gov) CC'd.

 

Anything received will be provided directly to DPR for their review. We also thank DPR for giving the redesign the time and attention that it deserves.
